Next Level London

London was always going to be special, after visiting so many other wonderful places this year and felt so welcomed by everyone it was my turn, on familiar territory, to play host and tour guide for what turned out to be a unforgettable experience.
We were only eight students strong but filled with enthusiasm and the love of photography I think this workshop produced the highest quality imagery I’ve yet seen. Everyone felt confident enough taking a model to shoot with on their own and create something uniquely individual. It’s a testament to Scott’s captivating and inspiring teaching methods. London was for me a milestone because for the first time I felt like everything I have learnt this year by attending these workshops (lighting, posing, composition, technical know-how and everything else!) for the first time worked in harmony allowing me to be not just more creative but more productive too. It’s a great feeling.
As ever there were so many highlights most obviously the gallery show on the final day (see previous post!) but who would have imagined staying up until 4am editing our images would be up there! Hanging out, sharing stories, memories and weird humour whilst under pressure to finish our images was indeed magical and just shows the great community of photographers that I am privileged to be part. Other highlights? Three visits to the same Balti House to sample the delights of indian cuisine and to satisfy Arielle’s huge craving for it! Being allowed the use of the most expensive prop ever in the shape of a £100,000 Lamborghini, in black! Oh! And Scott’s hilarious incident on the London Underground when he decided to get trapped between the train’s sliding doors and in the process delay the entire Northern Line! Priceless.
A huge thanks to Liz, Ama, Kelly, Vanessa and Fliss who all gave up there precious time to model for us. They were fantastic but also great fun to hang out with. Christina who ignited the idea of a Scott Robert workshop in London and Dave, without him so much would not have been possible.
So what’s next? Well tomorrow kicks of a two month photography frenzy with three weddings in as many weeks followed by visits to Paris, Italy & Spain in september! I get tired (and hungry if I’m being honest) just thinking about it. But I won’t complain because simply put, I can’t wait!
Take care.

Hey B, these images are fantastic. All I can really say right now is WOW! Again you inspire me and push me to want to be more. Great keep them coming.
B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH WWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE snaps! I LOVE your vision and absolutely how you edit your photos, I could watch your shows over and over again. You rock! When we doing a session again?!?!?!?!
I know you’re super busy so thanks for the update, I’m always wondering how you’re doing. Have a fabulous time! keep in touch buddy B!
Some people question me why do you take sooooo many workshops and are bewildered. But clearly your imagery is getting better and better with every workshop and your growth has been amazing, clearly ahead of so many emerging photographers. It is remarkable how much you have grown and yet people don’t attribute that to your voracious appetite for learning. Well, no wonder why your career is so bright and full of promise. Congrats to some amazing work and your tremendous achievements- you are an inspiration to many and I’m glad to see you coming into your own!!!
oh btw, I had an amazing time in London, thanks so much for being a wonderful host! For sure we’ll be coming back with another dose of UK and a fabulous gallery exhibit again!!! btw, Jago contacted me about my own exhibit! pretty exciting so I owe this awesome opportunity to you and wanting SR Next Level in the UK!!!
Wow, I absolutely love that first image underneath the slide show. That’s probably my favorite image from this set. Very fashion forward.
B — WOW! You’re work is truly incredible! It’s not just how you shot the image but the final result just makes my mouth drop open! Your determination shows.. good work man.. you have an incredible future ahead of you.
Sounds like an amazing workshop and experience in general! Stunning shots as well – your work is always so inspiring!
Definitely diggin your new logo and love the images….you just keep getting better. And I can see more and more of your style shining through. Keep it real.
I hope you’ve started a Portfolio Book to show these images to some upstart designers where you live. Your work is outstanding and your retouching just jumps off the monitor. If I was in the fashion industry I would snatch you up really quick and make you my in-house full time photographer! No joking, get all of these and anymore you have and make up a 11×14 book with about 40-50 images like these and you could be shooting nationally, you’re that good my friend.
